An adventure or coming home

I think about the Tamar are when I go for a walk up Kit Hill after work and get a great view of the Tamar flowing down from Gunnislake, through Cotehele down towards the bridge and out to sea.

I remember going up there a couple of days before starting my new job (with Westcountry Rivers Trust) and thinking how lucky I was to be involved with such an interesting line of work!

I also think about the river whenever I cross the Tamar, as it means I’m either leaving or coming home! This is always significant to me as crossing it one way means adventure and the other way it means I’m coming home…!
